Research

I have successfully completed my Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery, my thesis being on the fixation of proximal humerus fractures. I have also been involved in both basic science and clinical research studies. Through the University of Liverpool I was involved in projects looking at the role of MMPs in soft tissue sarcoma, Dupuytren’s disease and rotator cuff disease. The results have been presented in both British and American Orthopaedic Research Societies. I was the clinical lead in a level I prospective randomised study on arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation and I have been involved in several other retrospective and prospective studies which have been presented at various international meetings and published in peer reviewed journals.
